Dr. Laura Hannon and her team of dental professionals are committed to serving patients of all ages with genuine warmth and understanding. Each of our team members have garnered extensive experience and knowledge through ongoing education, including Hornbrook training.
Our team consists of an outgoing, compassionate group of professionals. We each maintain an active, well-rounded lifestyle by exercising, reading (don’t be afraid to ask any of us to suggest a good title!), and engaging in many other pursuits. In addition to our individual hobbies and activities, our team has a great passion for giving our time and energy back to the community. We frequently participate in organized community service events, including efforts like the YMCA Bowl-a-thon to raise money in support of children's programs, the Chamber of Commerce Business Night, and the Avon Breast Cancer Walk as part of the Porter County Dental Team.

Dr. Laura Hannon
With over 25 years of experience in preventative and restorative dentistry, Dr. Laura Hannon is a skilled dentist who can meet any of your oral health needs. She graduated from Drake University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Hannon has been a member of the Crown Council for three years. She has also been a member of both the American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society for each of the 25 years she has been practicing dentistry. In addition, she has committed herself to providing her patients with the most up-to-date technologies and procedures available, for which reason she attends continuing education courses throughout the country.
Dr. Laura Hannon prides herself on being a great listener, a gentle dentist, and a calming influence; as such, she is able to make her patients’ visits as relaxing and comfortable as possible. In her spare time, Dr. Hannon enjoys reading, fiber arts, skiing, yoga, and participating in a handbell choir. She is married and is the mother of three grown children.
Vicki
Vicki has been working in dentistry for the past 19 years and currently serves as the office’s trusted hygienist. She was a dental assistant for four years before moving on to dental hygiene in 1988. Vicki has served as a hygienist in general, cosmetic, and periodontal dental offices and is trained to work in many other aspects of our office. She is proud to have assumed responsibility recently for taking dental photography for our patients.
Kathy
For the past 4 ½ years, Kathy has worked as our patient advocate and she takes pleasure in meeting each patient's scheduling needs. As a “visual” person, she was delighted to bring color into the office to create a positive atmosphere for both our team and our patients. Kathy gives attention to detail and has become experienced in designing diagnostic wax-ups for enhancing cosmetic treatment.
Marlene
Marlene started over 8 years ago as our patient coordinator, but has moved on to become our current financial coordinator. She sets up CareCredit, a financing program that helps provide a way for patients to pay for needed or desired care. Working to expand her professional knowledge and abilities, Marlene has taken and continues to attend classes at the Pride Institute and the Hornbrook Group. This past year Marlene has been working toward obtaining x-ray certification. She has also added skills to help assist our clinical team.
Julie
Julie is the most experienced member of our team apart from Dr. Hannon, as she has more than 16 years of clinical assisting, 14 years of X-ray certification, and 13 years of EFDA certification. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable during their dental visits. Julie is flexible in her duties, performing any task that would make the office run smoothly and efficiently for both our patients and our team.
Sally
Sally is the newest member of our team. She has been a dental assistant for nearly 4 years. Sally recently obtained her certification for radiography and has her EFDA certification. Sally is very patient and caring when dealing with patients. She is learning to design diagnostic wax-ups and to appreciate how the office runs smoothly.
