Dental Hygienist

One of the most enjoyable aspects of working with Dr. Grider over the years is being part of a team that establishes long-term, trusting relationships with patients. I received my associate’s degree in dental hygiene in May 1991. I have enjoyed my career as a hygienist, and respect that dentistry is a continuous part of overall health. I enjoy continuing to educate myself on new techniques, products, and research, and furthermore, sharing that information with our patients.

My husband Stan and I have two daughters, Trenee and Kendall. I enjoy spending my time away from the office relaxing at the beach and reading during the summer. During the cooler months, I enjoy bonfires in the backyard with my family and friends.

I have always been intrested in dentistry so being able to work here has been an amazing experience. I am currently enrolled in an online program to get my certificate in dental assisting to further my education.

Outside of work I love to paint and spending time with my family and friends and my two yorkies.

Being apart of comprehensive dentistry, and witnessing improvement in a patient's oral health is very rewarding.

In 2013, I graduated as a registered Dental Assistant from Milan Institue in the state of Texas. I am proud of the quality care and personal touch we provide our patients here at Smile Brightly.

In my spare time I enjoy many artistic hobbies. My husband and I appreciate the outdoors hiking and biking with our dog.

I have always had a tremendous fear of going to the dentist. Finally, when I happened upon Dr. Grider in St. Joe, she was the first dentist ever to make me feel comfortable in the chair and did phenomenal work. Now that she has her own practice in Portage (Smile Brightly) my family and I HAPPILY drive an hour to see her rather than choose a new dentist. Dr. Grider puts her patients first and her team is fantastic! Never will I ever use another dentist. She has won our family as patients for life! She is not just a dentist, she is a friend when you leave her practice. I cannot emphasize this enough… she is THE BEST dentist and she is meant for greatness. I am so happy I got to find her!
